ܒܪ ܥܣܪܝܢ ܗܘܐ ܘܚܡܫ ܫܢ̈ܝܢ ܚܙܩܝܐ ܟܕ ܩܡ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܘܥܣܪܝܢ ܘܬܫܥ ܫܢ̈ܝܢ ܐܡܠܟ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܫܡܐ ܕܐܡܗ ܐܢܝ ܒܪܬ ܙܟܪܝܐ

Hezekiah began to reign when he was twenty-five years old, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.

ܘܥܒܕ ܕܫܦܝܪ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܥܒܕ ܕܘܝܕ ܐܒܘܗܝ
'bwhy dwyd debd 'ykn' mry' qdm dshpyr webd
He did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, according to all that David his father had done.

ܒܫܢܬܐ ܩܕܡܝܬܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܒܝܪܚܐ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܦܬܚ ܬܪ̈ܥܝ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܒܕܩ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn wbdq dmry' bythh threy pthkh qdmy' byrkh' dmlkwthh qdmyth' bshnth'
In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of Yahweh’s house and repaired them.

ܘܐܝܬܝ ܟܗ̈ܢܐ ܘܠܘ̈ܝܐ ܘܟܢܫ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܓܘܗ̇ ܕܕܪܬܐ ܕܡܩܕܫܐ
dmqdsh' ddrth' lgwh 'nwn wknsh wlwy' khn' w'ythy
He brought in the priests and the Levites and gathered them together into the wide place on the east,

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܫܘܡܥܘܢܝ ܠܘ̈ܝܐ ܘܐܦ ܗܫܐ ܐܬܩܕܫܘ ܘܩܕܫܘ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܒܗ̈ܬܢ ܘܐܦܪܩܘ ܥܒ̇ܕ̈ܝܟܘܢ ܒܝ̣̈ܫܐ ܡܢ ܪ̈ܥܝܢܝܟܘܢ
reynykwn mn bysh' ebdykwn w'prqw d'bhthn 'lh' dmry' bythh wqdshw 'thqdshw hsh' w'p lwy' shwmewny lhwn w'mr
and said to them, “Listen to me, you Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of Yahweh, the God of your fathers, and carry the filthiness out of the holy place.

ܘܠܐ ܢܥܒܕ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܥܒܕܘ ܗܘܘ ܐܒܗ̈ܬܢ ܘܥܒܕܘ ܕܒܝ̣ܫ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܢ ܘܫܒܩܘܗܝ ܘܐܦܢܝܘ ܐܦܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܫܟܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܟܪܟܘ ܩܕܠܗܘܢ ܘܚܘܝܘܗܝ
wkhwywhy qdlhwn w'krkw dmry' mshknh mn 'pyhwn w'pnyw wshbqwhy 'lhn mry' qdm dbysh webdw 'bhthn hww debdw 'ykn' nebd wl'
For our fathers were unfaithful, and have done that which was evil in Yahweh our God’s sight, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of Yahweh, and turned their backs.

ܘܐܦ ܐܚܕܘ ܬܪ̈ܥܐ ܕܣܪ̈ܘܓܐ ܘܐܕܥܟܘ ܫܪ̈ܓܐ ܘܩܛܪ̈ܘܩܐ ܠܐ ܐܣܩܘ ܠܡܕܒܚܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ

Also they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the holy place to the God of Israel.

ܘܗܘܐ ܪܘܓܙܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܥܠ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܝܗܒ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܠܘܛܬܐ ܘܠܨܕܝܘܬܐ ܘܠܚܪܒܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܚ̇ܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܥܝܢ̈ܝܟܘܢ
beynykwn 'nthwn dkhzyn 'ykn' wlkhrb' wltsdywth' llwTth' 'nwn wyhb 'wrshlm wel yhwd' el dmry' rwgzh whw'
Therefore Yahweh’s wrath was on Judah and Jerusalem, and he has delivered them to be tossed back and forth, to be an astonishment and a hissing, as you see with your eyes.

ܘܗܐ ܢܦܠܘ ܐܒܗ̈ܬܢ ܒܚܪܒܐ ܘܢܫ̈ܝܢ ܘܒܢ̈ܝܢ ܘܒܢ̈ܬܢ ܒܫܒܝܬܐ ܘܐܦ ܗܫܐ ܕܛܥܝܢ ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܢ ܘܫܒܩܢ ܕܝܬܩܐ ܕܝܗܒ ܠܐܒܗ̈ܬܢ ܐܦ ܗܘ ܫܒܩܢ
shbqn hw 'p l'bhthn dyhb dythq' wshbqn 'lhn mry' bthr mn dTeyn hsh' w'p bshbyth' wbnthn wbnyn wnshyn bkhrb' 'bhthn nplw wh'
For behold, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity for this.

ܘܩܕܡ ܚܙܩܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܟܢܫ ܠܩܫܝ̈ܫܐ ܕܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܥܠ ܠܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ

Then Hezekiah the king arose early, gathered the princes of the city, and went up to Yahweh’s house.

ܘܐܝܬܝܘ ܠܗ ܬܘܪ̈ܐ ܫܒܥܐ ܘܕܟܪ̈ܐ ܫܒܥܐ ܘܐܡܪ̈ܐ ܫܒܥܐ ܘܨܦܪ̈ܝܐ ܕܥ̈ܙܐ ܫܒܥܐ ܠܡܚܣܝܘ ܥܠ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܘܥܠ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܥܠ ܡܩܕܫܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܒܢܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܐܗܪܘܢ ܟܗܢܐ ܕܢܣܩܘܢ ܥܠܘ̈ܬܐ ܥܠ ܡܕܒܚܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' mdbkhh el elwth' dnsqwn khn' d'hrwn lbnwhy w'mr mqdsh' wel yhwd' wel mlkwth' el lmkhsyw shbe' dez' wtspry' shbe' w'mr' shbe' wdkr' shbe' thwr' lh w'ythyw
They brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, and seven male goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom, for the sanctuary, and for Judah. He commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on Yahweh’s altar.

ܘܢܟܣܘܢ ܬܘܪ̈ܐ ܘܢܩܒܠܘܢ ܟܗ̈ܢܐ ܠܕܡܗܘܢ ܘܢܪܣܘܢ ܥܠ ܩܪ̈ܢܬܐ ܕܡܕܒܚܐ
dmdbkh' qrnth' el wnrswn ldmhwn khn' wnqblwn thwr' wnkswn
So they killed the bulls, and the priests received the blood and sprinkled it on the altar. They killed the rams and sprinkled the blood on the altar. They also killed the lambs and sprinkled the blood on the altar.

ܘܢܩܪܒܘܢ ܨܦܪ̈ܝܐ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܩܕܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܩܕܡ ܥܡܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܢܣܡܟܘܢ ܐܝܕܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ
elyhwn 'ydyhwn wnsmkwn d'ysryl em' wqdm mlk' wqdm mry' qdm tspry' wnqrbwn
They brought near the male goats for the sin offering before the king and the assembly; and they laid their hands on them.

ܘܢܟܣܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܟܗ̈ܢܐ ܘܢܪܙܦܘܢ ܕܡܗܘܢ ܥܠ ܩܪ̈ܢܬܐ ܕܡܕܒܚܐ ܘܢܚܣܘܢ ܥܠ ܟܘܠܗ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܟܠܗ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܦܩܕ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܢܝܬܘܢ ܥܠܘ̈ܬܐ ܘܕܒܚ̈ܐ
wdbkh' elwth' dnythwn mlk' pqd 'ysryl dlklh mTl 'ysryl kwlh el wnkhswn dmdbkh' qrnth' el dmhwn wnrzpwn khn' 'nwn wnkswn
Then the priests killed them, and they made a sin offering with their blood on the altar, to make atonement for all Israel; for the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for all Israel.

ܘܐܩܝܡ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܠܘ̈ܝܐ ܒܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܒܬܫܒ̈ܚܬܐ ܒܩܠܐ ܕܟܢܪ̈ܐ ܘܒܬܫܒ̈ܚܬܐ ܕܕܘܝܕ ܘܒܬܫܒ̈ܚܬܗ ܕܓܕ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܕܘܝܕ ܘܕܢܬܢ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܕܘܝܕ ܡܛܠ ܕܗܘܐ ܕܘܝܕ ܡܫܒܚ ܬܫܒ̈ܚܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܗ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܦܘܡܐ ܕܢܒ̈ܝܐ

He set the Levites in Yahweh’s house with cymbals, with stringed instruments, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, of Gad the king’s seer, and Nathan the prophet; for the commandment was from Yahweh by his prophets.

ܘܩܡܘ ܠܘ̈ܝܐ ܒܬܫܒ̈ܚܬܗ ܕܕܘܝܕ ܘܟܗ̈ܢܐ ܡܝܒܒܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܩܪ̈ܢܬܐ ܟܦܝ̈ܦܬܐ ܘܦܫܝ̈ܛܬܐ
wpshyTth' kpypth' bqrnth' hww mybbyn wkhn' ddwyd bthshbkhthh lwy' wqmw
The Levites stood with David’s instruments, and the priests with the trumpets.

ܘܐܡܪ ܚܙܩܝܐ ܠܡܣܩܘ ܥܠܘ̈ܬܐ ܠܡܕܒܚܐ ܘܟܕ ܫܪ̈ܝ ܥܠܘ̈ܬܐ ܠܡܣܩ ܫܪܝ ܚܙܩܝܐ ܠܡܫܒܚܘ ܬܫܒܚ̈ܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܦܘܡܐ ܕܕܘܝܕ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ
d'ysryl mlk' ddwyd pwm' dmn 'yk dmry' thshbkhthh lmshbkhw khzqy' shry lmsq elwth' shry wkd lmdbkh' elwth' lmsqw khzqy' w'mr
Hezekiah commanded them to offer the burnt offering on the altar. When the burnt offering began, Yahweh’s song also began, along with the trumpets and instruments of David king of Israel.

ܘܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܣ̇ܓܕܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܘܡܫܒܚܝܢ ܬܫܒܚ̈ܬܐ ܘܩ̇ܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܩܪ̈ܢܬܐ ܟܦܝ̈ܦܬܐ ܘܦܫ̈ܝܛܬܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܫܠܡܘ ܠܡܣܩܘ ܥܠܘ̈ܬܐ
elwth' lmsqw dshlmw edm' wpshyTth' kpypth' bqrnth' hww wqryn thshbkhth' wmshbkhyn hww sgdyn d'ysryl em' wklh
All the assembly worshiped, the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded. All this continued until the burnt offering was finished.

ܘܟܕ ܫܠܡܘ ܠܡܣܩܘ ܥܠܘ̈ܬܐ ܒܪܟ ܡܠܟܐ ܥܠ ܒܘܪ̈ܟܘܗܝ ܘܟܠ ܐܢܫ ܕܐܫܬܟܚ ܠܘܬܗ ܢܦܠܘ ܘܣܓܕܘ
wsgdw nplw lwthh d'shthkkh 'nsh wkl bwrkwhy el mlk' brk elwth' lmsqw shlmw wkd
When they had finished offering, the king and all who were present with him bowed themselves and worshiped.

ܘܐܡܪ ܚܙܩܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܐ ܠܠܘ̈ܝܐ ܠܡܫܒܚܘ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܒܦܬܓ̈ܡܘܗܝ ܕܕܘܝܕ ܘܕܐܣܦ ܢܒܝܐ ܘܫܒܚܘ ܛܒ ܒܚܕܘܬܐ ܘܢܦܠܘ ܘܣܓܕܘ
wsgdw wnplw bkhdwth' Tb wshbkhw nby' wd'sp ddwyd bpthgmwhy lmry' lmshbkhw llwy' wrwrbn' mlk' khzqy' w'mr
Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praises to Yahweh with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. They sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshiped.

ܘܥܢܐ ܚܙܩܝܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܟܝܠ ܕܐܬܩܪܒܬܘܢ ܠܐܘܪܚܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܩܪܘܒܘ ܘܐܝܬܘ ܠܝ ܕܒܚ̈ܐ ܘܬܘܕܝܬܐ ܠܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܝܬܝܘ ܥܡܐ ܕܒܚ̈ܐ ܘܬܘܕܝܬܐ ܘܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܨ̇ܒܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܒܗܘܢ ܡܝܬܝܢ ܗܘܘ

Then Hezekiah answered, “Now you have consecrated yourselves to Yahweh. Come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into Yahweh’s house.” The assembly brought in sacrifices and thank offerings, and as many as were of a willing heart brought burnt offerings.

ܘܗܘܐ ܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܥܠܘ̈ܬܐ ܕܐܝܬܝܘ ܥܡܐ ܬܘܪ̈ܐ ܫܒܥܝܢ ܘܕܟܪ̈ܐ ܡܐܐ ܘܐܡܪ̈ܐ ܡܐܬܝܢ ܠܥܠܬܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ
hlyn klhwn dmry' lelth' m'thyn w'mr' m'' wdkr' shbeyn thwr' em' d'ythyw delwth' mnyn' whw'
The number of the burnt offerings which the assembly brought was seventy bulls, one hundred rams, and two hundred lambs. All these were for a burnt offering to Yahweh.

ܬܘܪ̈ܐ ܕܐܬܩܕܫܘ ܫܬܡܐܐ ܘܥ̈ܢܐ ܐ̈ܠܦܐ ܬܠܬܐ

The consecrated things were six hundred head of cattle and three thousand sheep.

ܒܠܚܘܕ ܟܗ̈ܢܐ ܙܥܘܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܘܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܡܫܡܫܘ ܠܟܠܗܝܢ ܥܠܘ̈ܬܐ ܘܥܕܪܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܚܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܠܘ̈ܝܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܝܟܐ ܕܫܠܡܬ ܟܠܗ̇ ܥܒܝܕܬܐ ܘܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܬܩܕܫܘ ܟܗ̈ܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܘ̈ܝܐ ܡܟܝܟܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܠܒܗܘܢ ܠܡܬܩܕܫܘ ܡܢ ܟܗ̈ܢܐ

But the priests were too few, so that they could not skin all the burnt offerings. Therefore their brothers the Levites helped them until the work was ended, and until the priests had sanctified themselves, for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.

ܐܦ ܥܠܘ̈ܬܐ ܠܣܘܓܐܐ ܐܝܟ ܬܪܒܐ ܕܫܠܡ̈ܐ ܘܕܐܡܪ̈ܐ ܠܥܠܘ̈ܬܐ ܘܫܠܡܬ ܥܒܝܕܬܐ ܕܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' dbythh ebydth' wshlmth lelwth' wd'mr' dshlm' thrb' 'yk lswg'' elwth' 'p
Also the burnt offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings and with the drink offerings for every burnt offering. So the service of Yahweh’s house was set in order.

ܘܚܕܝ ܚܙܩܝܐ ܘܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܥܠ ܕܫܠܡܬ ܥܒܝܕܬܐ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܘܡܢ ܫܠܝ ܗܘܐ ܦܬܓܡܐ
pthgm' hw' shly wmn dbyth' ebydth' dshlmth el d'ysryl em' wklh khzqy' wkhdy
Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced because of that which God had prepared for the people; for the thing was done suddenly.
